Qigong is the practice to awaken and develop energy through movement, posture, breathing, and awareness (meditation). There are many styles and expressions of Qigong, including well-known practices like Tai Chi.
In the modern world, many people may be familiar with Qigong for medical benefits, longevity, and even immortality.
Body & Brain Qigong provides benefits for health and longevity as well, but the true purpose is to awaken to our original nature and life purpose through energy.
Qigong practice requires focusing on three things:
-
- Posture or movement
- Breathing
- Energy awareness
We aim to create a condition where the upper body is light, relaxed, and flexible, and the lower body is strong, stable, and grounded (Sang Heo Ha Shil principle). We will do Qigong exercises that involve movement (Dong Gong) and stillness (Jung Gong)

What is Qigong?
Qigong is a timeless practice that cultivates the vital connection between mind and body. Rooted in ancient tradition, it offers profound benefits at any stage of life—regardless of athletic experience or physical ability. Through a harmonious blend of posture, balance, breath, and fluid movement, qigong enhances strength, mobility, mental clarity, and emotional well-being. While its mastery can take a lifetime, its rewards are immediate and accessible. Qigong is often described as a healing martial art—one that channels internal energy not for combat, but for restoration, resilience, and self-empowerment. At its core, qigong is a powerful pathway to self-awareness, inner peace, and the expression of your highest potential.
Experience the basics of Qigong in this fun and educational 6-week program with National Qigong trainer David Driscoll. You’ll practice qigong exercises and forms designed to supercharge your Body & Brain practice and help you live a long, healthy, happy life.
